A New Chapter begins...

It's with some sadness that we write this!
Der Brummbär has been with the OOC for a while and we have had some great fun driving it pedal to the metal in the Petermax Müller Rennen.
But we can't keep everything and the time has come to pass it on to someone else to have as much fun as we did.
It looks like we need something to fill the empty space in the garage and a new chapter in the club will begin....
Hope you have as much full as we have and drive it like we did.
Drive fast and take risks....
Enjoy Shawn.

Looks like someone got a face full of snow on their way to a top 3 finish.
Great result for the OOC out of a field of 103 starters

Pressing times!

With time on their hands and thinking about a new project that will be taking up great amounts of time to get it ready for the forthcoming Petermax Müller Rennen, the 2017 Rennen plates are already made and just need painting! :D

Mathé Motor oil

Looks like there is some motor oil on the market that maybe we should try!
We prefer to run Motul 20w50 Mineral Classic in our motors, but with an Oldspeed Pedigree like Otto Mathé maybe we should try some :D

Le Mans Classic 2016

Once again this July Classic racing fans will head to a small town in the Northwest of France, the town in question is a legend in the hearts of all racing fans, non other than Le Mans home of the circuit of the 24 heures du Mans.
Run every two years on the full 13.65km circuit that is also used for the annual 24 hour race.
The 24 hour race was first held in 1923 and today incorporates part of a public road, which is specifically closed for the running of the 24 hours races.
The event consists of a series of races for cars that have competed at the 24 heures du Mans or for similar cars of the same model.
Only cars built prior to 1979 are allowed to compete, with the cars being broken into six different eras. To compete the drivers must hold an FIA International competition licence, so often ex works drivers are seen driving at the Classic.
From the Bentley's and Bugatti's of the early years, the Porsche 356, Porsche 917 and Ford GT40 of the middle years and the Porsche 936, Porsche 911 RSR, Gulf Mirage and Alpine A443 of the later years, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Lavenham Vintage Volkswagen Meeting, 24th-26th June 2016

With up to 150 vehicles registered from all over Europe, previous Lavenham Vintage Volkswagen Shows in Suffolk have been a huge success.  Plans are now underway for the third which will take place over the weekend of 24-26 June 2016.  Organised by the Historic Volkswagen Club and with assistance from the Split Screen Van Club, expect the 2016 International Vintage Volkswagen Meeting to be an expanded event with greater participation from overseas visitors and the VW trade.

Oldspeed Etreme

Meet Oklahoma Willy who takes OldSpeed to the extreme!
It is a wild custom project from Perrywinkle Customs in the UK. Besides air ride suspension, this creation features a 1986 Rolls Royce Viper 535 Jet Engine mounted in the bed that produces 3,450 pounds of thrust! Although you may never see this one cruising down the freeway (it sips 8.3 gallons of jet fuel per minute at full throttle), it would definitely be interesting to see on the strip ….. or at Bonneville in 2016 For more information on this project visit: http://www.oklahomawilly.co.uk

Monte-Carlo Historique

It's mid January and that can only mean one thing!

The 19th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique is upon us, with the diversity of its course, concocted by the Organising Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco, man and machine will need to pit their wits against what Mother Nature has in surprise for them! Like last year, in order to give all the cars entered the ability to figure respectively in the standings, there will be three averages to respect and maintain throughout the test.

This year's event  the race is open to cars that participated in the editions of the Rally Monte Carlo Automobiles between 1955 and 1980.

Motors TV will broadcast from 9:00 p.m. Friday, 20th February a 52-minute magazine dedicated to the 18th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique .

Lets hope the conditions this year aren't as bad as previous years
