Bergrennen 2014

It's that time of year again that we all head to "The Norwegian Mountain" meet friends new and old, drink some beer, tell some stories and drive as fast as possible......

Rumour has it there will be a guest appearance this year ;)

Herr Dunkelmann recently found some fantastic treasures at a swap meet......

We particularly like the second generation Halda Tripmaster.... 

Vintage rubber

We all like some nice vintage rubber and none more than Herr Dunkelmann who has been busy collect vintage Gravel and winter tyres, great for the upcoming winter rallye and the gravel roads in the Historic Midnight Sun. :D 

Long Hot Summer.....

It's been a long hot summer and although we have all been spending time with our families, we have found time to do many exciting things this year including, The Wiking Auto Rennen, Rättvik Hillclimb, Flugplatz Schmutz Rennen, Barndoor hunting and a trip to one of the most moving scrapyards we have ever visited. In the next weeks we will post reports of our summer adventures......

But to start with, going back to our last post about the VW's running Porsche motors in the Midnight Sun Rally, we were lucky enough to have the privilege of seeing this fantastic Zwitter running a Porsche 1300N motor, Porsche brakes and Midnight Sun Rally plaque.

Welcome....

We are very happy to announce a new member to the OOC stable, with a fantastic Oldspeed car.
Look out for a full feature on this car soon and the story of how the VW's in the midnight Sun Rally were banned from entering running Porsche 1300ccm engines because of their success and the solutions the competitors came up with to continue to be competitive in the Swedish Rally.

On the gravel!

Some of our friends up North are out on the gravel in their new ride testing for the summers racing!

Paint your wagon

Not long now until SSC, hopefully all the OOC cars will arrive this year with their race numbers already in place and we don't need to call on friends to paint numbers at the last minute :)

Modifications needed...

 No 87 of the Rennsport Skunkwerks race team, will represent the OOC this summer at some Scandinavian events.
The front beam has been removed for some modifications......

Käfer Revue

Great article in Käfer Revue about last summers Petermax Müller Rennen, featuring 3 of the Oldtimer Oldspeed Club cars.

Winter Training

With some major Oldspeed races this summer Der Fahrer has been doing some winter training and took part in a winter rallye far up north.
As you can see the conditions were challenging and there was some stiff vintage opposition.
We strongly recommend that you don't try driving at this speed in similar conditions.
we are happy to say after some scary moments at break neck speeds all arrived back at the garage in one piece.......

The Clash of the Titans

Rumor has it that The Oldtimer Oldspeed Club and The Viking Rallye team are deep in the woods practising "The Scandinavian flick" for The Clash of the Titans, deep in the forest this summer, just North of Insanity.....

Ben Pon Meeting 2014
